Delete your EveryStreet account

You can delete your account yourself in the app at any time. If you can't open the app, ask us by email and we will do it for you.

In the app (fastest)

  1. Open EveryStreet and sign in.
  2. On a phone: tap Me at the bottom, scroll down and tap Delete my account.
On a computer: click your name at the bottom of the menu on the left and choose Delete my account… (or open My account).
  3. Read what will be deleted, type your password again and confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out on every phone and computer. If you are your church's main Admin, the app first asks you to hand the Admin position to someone else, so the church is not left without one.

Without the app

Send an email from the address you use to sign in to EveryStreet, and tell us you want your account deleted. We may write back to confirm it is really you.

Email geteverystreet@gmail.com

We delete it within 30 days of confirming it is you, normally much sooner, and write back when it is done.

Deleted
  • Your sign-in and password
  • Your name, email address, phone number and profile picture
  • Your personal notebook (houses, people and visits only you could see)
  • Your notification settings, reminders and your places on routes, teams and classes
Kept by your church
  • The visits, notes, attendance and chat messages you recorded while serving with a church belong to that church's ministry records, so they stay. Your name on them is replaced with Former member.
  • If you were the only person in your church's account, the church's account and everything in it are deleted with yours.

How long anything stays

The deletion itself happens at once. Copies in our routine database backups disappear when those backups expire, within 30 days. We keep nothing else about you after that, except where the law requires it.

Information a church keeps about the people it serves (for example bus riders and their parents) belongs to the church. To have that removed, ask the church first; you may also write to us and we will help the church act on it. See our privacy policy.
